MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries is and older game, but there really have not been any good PC mech games to replace it. There are still many people who play regularly and there have been many unofficial updates and addons for the game (including extra mechs, maps,  and a Hi Definition patch to improve the graphics), and online league play is still happening. There are currently admins from several MWL teams and even some admins who are not currently in MWL with rights on the server.

The server is set to reboot both the game server and computer itself every morning at around 3:30 AM (my timezone), so it should not get too bogged down unless I am using my badnwidth for something else… It also runs anti-virus software a few times a week in the early morning so as to not affect gameplay.
